My Work

Since 2012, I have been working on cost-effective human-centered solutions that would address the problem of post harvest losses faced in India. The sight of rural masses migrating to urban and peri-urban Indian cities in search of daily wages; cooking on pavements at night and reports of food grains spoilage at government storage facilities, stirred me to take a closer look at the prevailing conundrum. Agriculture in India is a highly fragmented sector with numerous players at each stage of the farm-to-fork value chain.  Research of issues faced by various entities within the food value chain, imply the urgent need for flat-bottom farm bins, Grameen Kalyan Kendra and Mandi information systems.
